Knee Deep in Lawyers

Where there is death, where there are taxes, there also must be lawyers. I have already spent many hours talking with expensive lawyers and I know that more of the same awaits.

Cleverly, no two of them can be found to agree on anything. Do you suppose they teach them that in law school, or it part of associates' apprenticeship?

I say this despite the fact that some of my very best friends are attorneys.

After years of using lawyers in a corporate fashion, at the very high cost of many thousands - i've found that the bottom line is this: lawyers are really good to pen things out so that they can be framed on a wall for posterity... Bottom line is that all contracts, agreements, etc. are Only worth a handshake - you simply must be sure that the one you're shaking hands with is worthy... NO lawyer on the planet can make a thief a saint, and no lawyer is needed if you're dealing with an honest person (plus an out strategy if you're smart)...all they can do is make you feel good about it... kinda like paying for a shrink...so it's best to know up front that if you feel strange in your gut, and go ahead with something, you must also be prepared to let it go at all costs later....
just thought i'd put in my two cents worth....
